An All Day Celebration In Maui Hawaii
Photos from Mulligan's On The Blue yearly festival celebrating the birthday of St. Patrick, the Patron Saint of Ireland. Live entertainment until the wee hours of the night and an outdoor dinner party on the lawn at Wailea's Blue golf course featuring fine authentic Irish cuisine.
Live music included Maui's own Welshman Mr. Trevor Jones playing sing along Irish songs accompanied by Latin guitar genius Joe Cano. Next up, AnRil (pronounced UnReal)
treated the crowd to traditional Irish music and songs.
Murray Thorne cranked it up with his high energy brand of classic and Irish rock.
The day would not be the same without Mulligan's own Traditional and Contemporary Irish Band - The Celtic Tigers. Kevin O' and the band supplied everyone with a healhy dose of
Irish music as the dance floor quickly filled and the Craic was indeed mighty!
The Maui Celtic Pipe & Drum Band played throughout the day's events, including a special sunset performance. Under the very capable leadership of Pipe Major Mr. John Grant, this vast array of talent featured Bagpipes, Drums, and Uileann Pipes.
Crazy Fingers plus guests rounded out the night and rocked da house until closing.
A grand time was had by all. The craythur was flowing as was the Guinness, Murphy's & Harp. Our brothers and sisters in Ireland would be proud - Maui may not see another
celebration like this until St. Patrick's Day '06.
Fast Fact: Hawaii is the last time zone in the world to celebrate the holiday.
